A lot of business owners come to Instagram already feeling behind. They have an account, maybe a handful of posts and a growing list of things they are not sure they are doing right. They are often wondering about the bio, the profile photo, the Highlights and what to actually post.
This workshop is designed to give you a straightforward, calm starting point. We will go through what matters, and in what order, so you can leave with a profile that makes sense and a simple plan for what to post next.
There is no assumption that you need to post every day, go on camera or follow trends. We will work from where you actually are.
Who this is for
This workshop is for you if:
You are new to Instagram or have not used it consistently, and you are not sure where to begin.
You have been on Instagram for a while but it still feels like you are guessing and you would like a proper plan.
You have set up a profile but it does not quite reflect what you do or who you work with.
You want to post more regularly but you are not sure what to say or how often.
You have been watching what other people post and feel like you are missing something.
You want a simple, low-pressure approach that fits around client work and real life.
You do not need to have any existing followers, any experience with Instagram features or any idea what a content pillar is. We will cover what you need as we go.
What we'll cover
Part 1: Your Profile
We will start with your profile, because it is the thing that either makes people stay or scroll past.
What to prioritise first so you are not trying to fix everything at once.
How to write a name field that actually helps people find you.
What to put in your bio, and how to make it easy to understand who you help.
How to use your link and Highlights with intention, rather than as an afterthought.
Part 2: What to Post
Once your profile is in better shape, we will look at content. We will focus on where to start and how to stay relevant to what you actually do.
The different content formats on Instagram and when to use them.
What to post first - a handful of post types that help people understand your services.
How to stay specific to your work, rather than posting generally.
Where Stories can fit in.
Part 3: Your Posting Plan
We will finish by putting together a simple weekly structure that fits your time and energy. You do not need to have any existing followers, any experience with Instagram features or any idea what a content pillar is. We will cover what you need as we go.
A 2, 3 or 4-post-a-week option, depending on what is realistic for you.
How to plan without spending hours on it each week.
What consistency actually looks like, and why it does not have to mean daily.
Live Q&A
At the end, you will have time to ask anything. We will work through your specific questions together so you leave with practical next steps, not just notes.
What you will leave with
A profile that reflects what you do and attracts the right people.
A short list of content to post first, tailored to your work.
A simple weekly posting plan you can actually stick to.
A better understanding of which Instagram features are worth your time.

About Rebecca
I'm Rebecca, and I run Softly Social - an Instagram coaching and training business for introverted service-based business owners. I help people get Instagram working for their business in a way that fits how they actually work. This means working calmly, sustainably and without the pressure to perform.
I ran my own business for two years before I posted a photo of myself. I understand that the resistance to Instagram is often about visibility and trying to find an approach that does not feel at odds with who you are. The workshops I run are small, practical and always designed with that in mind.

What my clients say
"You have made the process so much easier. I don't have thousands of followers, but what you have helped me do is build a community and my order book seems to fill up in a really natural way. There is no hustle." Tara, Cacaoist and Space Holder.
"Rebecca is so easy to work with. She explains the changes you need to make to improve your Instagram profile and content in a practical and helpful way." Laura, Nutritional Therapist.
"I have gone from feeling fear around posting on Instagram to actually quite enjoying it! I feel confident now! Thank you so much Rebecca." Lara, Networking Facilitator.
"Rebecca's so great at simplifying and explaining and supporting in a way we can all understand and put into action - even those of us who are mostly pretty hopeless with tech!" Tracy, copywriter.

A few things you might be wondering
Do I need to have an Instagram account already?
It helps if you have one set up, even if it is very new or has not been used much. If you are starting completely from scratch, get in touch and I can point you in the right direction before the day.
I am not very confident with technology. Will I be able to follow along?
Yes. Everything is explained in plain language, step by step. You do not need to know anything in advance.
Will there be a recording?
Yes, a recording will be sent to all registered attendees after the session.
I have been on Instagram for a while but I am still not sure if I am doing it right. Is this still for me?
Yes. Many people find that they have been using the app without a real structure. This workshop will help you strip away the things that don't matter and focus on what actually works for your business.
